Biography:

Over the last 15 years Ben has designed lighting, set and video for over 150 different productions around the world.

Recent projects include: lighting and visual design for Peter Schaufuss Ballet’s new work “Nodebbo Praestegard”, set and lighting for The Wizard of Oz (Madinat, Dubai), production design for RENT in Concert (UK Tour), Lord of The Dance (Middle East) and the presidential launch of Limassol Marina and Minthis Hills Golf Resort in Cyprus.

Ben has designed large scale musical productions internationally including an arena tour of Jesus Christ Superstar (Scandanavia), Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Madinat, Dubai) and outdoor arena presentations of Cats, Oliver!, West Side Story, The Sound of Music, Evita, Chicago, The Wizard of Oz, Grease and Fame in Cyprus and the Middle East.

Live music includes the lighting and visual design for Elefteriades “Music Hall” in Dubai and Beirut as well as concerts for Duran Duran, Cypress Hill, Jose Carreras, BOND, Alkistis Protopsalti, Mario Frangoulis and George Perris. He has designed and created concert shows for The OperaBabes and Greek Idol / X-Factor winners Stavros Mikalakakos & Valando Tryfonos as well as symphonic concerts and music festivals with international orchestras and EDM Shows featuring Nicky Romero and Armin Van Burren.

(Bridewell), Las Vegas Fantasy (on tour in Taiwan), Jack and the Beanstalk (His Majesty’s, Aberdeen), The Rat Pack (Liverpool Summer Pops), Fine Bone China (Clore Studio, Royal Opera House), Courtenay (Canterbury Marlowe) and Vision of Lear (Linbury, Royal Opera House).

He received Off West End Award nominations for Best Lighting Design in 2012/3 for CHESS & Steel Pier both at the Union Theatre, London.

In 2009 Ben was the production designer for the Opening Ceremony of the Small Nations Games in Cyprus. Prior to this he worked for Cirque du Soleil contributing the original video content and lighting programming for their show ZED (Tokyo).
